Dear Parents and Staff,
On behalf of the CHS PTA Board, welcome back for the 2010-2011 school year!! I hope that everyone had a good, albeit quick, summer! We would like to especially welcome our Freshman class and their families, as well as any new students and their families to the CHS family. We encourage you to become involved in the many activities that we offer each year, not only for your child's grade, but the school as a whole. Much of the fundraising for your child’s senior year, begins in their freshman year, so please refer to this newsletter as well as the "go green" emails sent from the district.
The Board would also like to give a warm welcome to our new Principal, Mr. Rui Dionisio. With his strong background, enthusiastic personality, and warm smile, he is sure to bring CHS to new heights!
If you have not already done so, please sign up for the PTA Newsletter to be sent to you via email. You can do this by going to CHSPTANEWS@cranfordschools.org. In the subject box put "add me to the list", or “remove me from the list” if your child/children have left the high school.
We would also like to ask you to register your email for each of your children by grade, so that we are better able to send out information for individual grades. Please do this by going to the district web site, www.cranfordschools.org, click on "district news" , and register each child individually.
Included in this newsletter is the PTA membership form. Remember to join early and you will be eligible to win a gift certificate for a local restaurant!! The drawing takes place on October 14th, prior to the start of "Back to School Night/Open House". See the form for details. Our membership helps pay for services provided each year such as PTA Scholarships, teachers’ luncheons and more.
