This is the motto of ENERGY STAR, a group that promotes clean energy use. They provide financial and other types of incentives for state residential customers, businesses and schools that utilize high-efficiency or renewable energy sources. ENERGY STAR lighting is much more efficient than other lights as it uses 75% less energy and lasts up to ten times longer than an average light bulb. These light bulbs can save you an average of at least $30 in energy costs. If every home in the U.S. replaced just one light bulb with an ENERGY STAR bulb we would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes, save more than $600 million in energy costs as well as preventing greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars. This lighting is a great and easy way to help the environment as well as lowering your energy costs.
